Italy

Good morning!

I went to kindergarten in Italy. I climbed inside the leaning tower of Pisa. I took a gondola ride in Venice. I could count higher in Italian than English. When I was four.

I want to go back. It’s my dream.

My middle daughter is there now. In Italy. I just spoke with her. They were on Vespas touring Tuscany’s vineyards and had just stopped for gelato.

I’m envious.

I want to eat truffles in Northern Italy. I want to experience the vinyards and voice of Bocelli in Tuscany. And the beaches. I want to see Rome. And the Vatican. And all its history and art.

Some day.

How about you?

Do you have that dream location?

Italy is mine. It was spoken about in the bible. Paul sailed to Italy. I think I’d prefer to fly. And hopefully I will not be a prisoner as he was.

It’s that time. Summer vacation. Whatever your dream vacation may be, may you find Jesus there. Maybe it’s just within your own imagination. However you choose to “get away”, enjoy yourself. But know Jesus goes with you wherever you travel. Our God created all the earth and all that is in it and on it. The glory is his.

Have fun, Lauren and Dexter! Be safe!

When it was decided that we would sail for Italy, Paul and some other prisoners were handed over to a centurion named Julius, who belonged to the Imperial Regiment. Acts 27:1

Love and laughter,

Sandy
