Miss Me

Good morning!

I miss my students. My routine. I’m ready to get back in the classroom. As I’m sure many others are. But instead, today I ride a bus to Oklahoma City. To our State Capitol.

I wonder if our students feel the same. I have to wonder if my students miss me. Do they get it? What we’re doing?

Miss me. LOL! I have a pair of jeans by Miss Me. I bought them because they had crosses on the pockets.

I wonder if Jesus pondered that very question after leaving his disciples. Those he spent every day with here on earth. Do they miss me? Did they get it?

I am so thankful he left each of us with his holy Spirit when he went away. To guide us. To live within us.

Yes! How we all miss him! And long for the day of his final return.

For now, I will do my best to help represent teachers at our state Capitol. I will do my best to be the best teacher to my students. I will do my best to be the best daughter, mother, grandmother, niece, wife, and friend to those near and dear to me. I will do my best to show others I am a Christian, Jesus’s hands and feet in this world.

I will do my best. I’m human. Some days I’ll do better than others.

I pray somwehere, somehow, I will make a difference. To someone. And that when my time comes. When I’m called to Jesus, someone will actually think I mattered. I made a difference in some small way. And they will “miss me”. But more importantly, I pray Jesus will accept me as his own. Once in his precious sight.

And Mizpah, for he said, the lord watch between he and me, when we are out of one another’s sight. Genesis 31:49

Love and laughter,

Sandy
