Boots on the Boulevard

Good morning!

Tuesday droves of teachers put on their boots and brought signs and friends to the 71st street corridor to join their fellow teachers in the Tulsa area in Boots on the Boulevard, a local action to support the Oklahoma teacher’s walkout for increased educational funding.

In an attempt to persuade our legislators to listen to us, to take us seriously, we must walk. We are not walking out on our students! We are walking for them!

Our own God tells us the importance of listening and walking in the right ways.

My prayer is this. That each of us, parent, teacher, and legislator alike, would listen. To the dire need. Of our future. Our state, our children, our students, and our future generations of citizens. And then walk in the ways of righteousness. And do the right thing.

Come on boots, let’s walk!

Oh that my people would listen to me, that Israel would walk in my ways! Psalm 81:13

Love and laughter,

Sandy
