I just saw an ad announcing that Taco Bell is now serving Nacho Fries.
Fries with mexican seasoning and nacho cheese to dip them in.
Are tacos not good enough? That’s what I go to Taco Bell to eat. Tacos! Not fries. It’s name is “Taco” Bell.
Can we not leave the fries to Ronald and Wendy? They don’t serve tacos, why is Taco Bell serving fries?!!
Why do we have to keep adding to? Why are we not satisfied with what we have? Why do we always want more? Why can’t we be happy with enough?
It wears me out sometimes. All the more in our society. Sometimes less is more. I find comfort in knowing our God is enough. With him you do not need more. He is all you need.
Many try to take away the parts they don’t like or add to with their own philosophies. Just like the Taco Bell menu. But just like their french fries at a Mexican restaurant, it doesn’t work. It’s not the master plan. Or the Master’s plan.
God is enough.
Anything else is less. Not more. No matter how much you add to it.
Let’s all accept God’s grace. And when we are weak, know we are strong. In him.
And when we go to Taco Bell, let’s leave the fries for McDonald’s.
But he said to me, “My grace is enough for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.” 2 Corinthians 12:9
