Groundhog Day

Good morning!

I’m always confused. Do we want Punxsutawney Phil to see his shadow or don’t we?

If he sees his shadow, there will be six more weeks of winter. If he doesn’t, then spring is right around the corner.

Today’s date actually references the midpoint between the winter solice in December and the spring equinox in March.

This year will be Punxsutawney Phil’s 132nd prognostication!

I don’t know about you, but I’d rather not trust the future of my next six weeks to such a marmot. The only one I do trust my future with is the one who knows the plans for it, my God.

I’m ready for warmer weather for sure. For spring. But my future lies in the hands of my God. I’ll weather any kind of weather he brings my way with him by my side. How about you?

Happy Groundhog Day!

For everything there is a season, and a time for every matter under heaven: Ecclesiastes 3:1

Love and laughter,

Sandy
