Yesterday was a gorgeous day! The sun was shining. The temperature was a pleasant 61 degrees. It was a perfect day for a walk in the park. And that is exactly what we did!
We took a walk in the park. With our dog. Which meant a roll in the grass to Dakotah. He loves to roll! And roll. And roll.
I love to watch him as he rolls in the grass. He looks as though he’s smiling in ecstasy. Why do dogs love to roll so? According to petmd.com, it is all about scents or alleviating a bad itch. For Dakotah, I think it’s all about the itch. That makes him want to roll.
That reminds me of another time that rolling brought on ecstasy. When the stone was rolled away from Jesus’ tomb. From that day forward, we have all lived in ecstasy because of that stone rolling. Rolling away with it death and proving Satan powerless. Jesus lives. And so do we. Thank you Jesus for rolling away that stone and offering us forgiveness and new everlasting life. With that as our precept, everything else is a walk in the park!
They found the stone rolled away from the tomb. Luke 24:2
