If any of you know my husband, you know he is a bit of a perfectionist. He is a master of organization.
Me not so much. I have great intentions. My ADD just kicks in. As I change locations to deliver something to another room, I forget my original agenda and move on to another task needing to be accomplished in my current location, leaving the last one incomplete. Piles of my half finished handiwork are tell tale signs of where I have been. Just like Hansel and Gretel’s breadcrumb trail. 😔
One of the many things I so love about my husband is his organizational skills! I’m so blessed to have him beside me to keep me on task.
Once Christmas was behind us, my intentions were to use my remainibg time off work to organize. My dresser and closet and bathroom drawers in particular. To downsize. For the upcoming move into our newly remodeled master bedroom. And then there was the kitchen. The pantry and the freezer, two often neglected areas of concern that also needed to be tackled. And I finally had the time.
Three giant Hefty trash bags dropped off at Goodwill and a few trips to our dumpster later, I did it! I completed a task! And I felt so much better! My load is lighter! Not so much my personal weight load after all the holiday goodies I partook in. But that’s next on the to do list!
How about you? Are there any areas in your life where you need to lighten your load? That could use a little organization? That need to be put in order?
Your space? Your schedule? Your priorities? Your too heavy burdens that you are still carrying around?
Now is the time! Let’s all start the new year off right! Here’s to organization!
But all things should be done decently and in order. 1 Corinthians 14:40
