Hot Chocolate

Good morning!

Christmas is over, and the BRRR cold temperatures are no longer lingering. Before you start that New Year’s  resolution diet, why not have one last hoopla?

No matter what the temperature or your age, there’s nothing better to warm your spirits than a steaming mug of hot chocolate on a cold winter’s day!

I made a batch for my classroom to enjoy while watching The Polar Express on our last day of school before break. Crock pot hot chocolate. It’s the best! It’s decadent! Just whip up a batch and let it simmer all afternoon! Until it’s gone that is!

Top it off with some real whipped cream, chocolate sprinkles, marshmallows, candy canes, or a hint of chili powder if you want to turn up the heat a little! It’s muy bueno! I served mine with Trader Joe’s Triple Ginger Snaps and shortbread cookies. Yum!

How sweet it is!☕

Now the bible does not mention the word chocolate, but it does refer to milk. That’s the only way to make hot chocolate, with milk, not water in my opinion.

Do you know what else is sweet and warms your insides? The love of Christ!

Let’s all let our cups overflow with that sweetness! Inhale and enjoy that beautiful aroma. Sip it in today. It’s the good stuff! The real deal. Nothing instant, just add water, about it. It’s the kind of love that matures over time. That works it’s way into every crack and crevice of your being. It fills you. Just like a steaming mug of hot chocolate. Made with milk, of course!  But a zillion times better!

And I am come down to deliver them out of the land of the Egyptians, and to bring them up out of and a large, unto a land flowing with milk and honey Exodus 3:8

Love and laughter,
