Good morning!

This is the best Christmas present ever!

Our fireplace has been being redone. It’s finished! And just in time for Christmas!

It was originally built of brick to the second story ceiling with a wood beam mantle. It’s now cast stone. To the first story

It’s beautiful! It’s elegant! And we will be able to enjoy it just in time for Christmas! For winter!

I’m in hopes that St. Nicholas will now be able to come down the chimney in style. Although he really can skip our house, he’s already brought me everything I could possibly dream of desiring: love, faith, health, security, a job I love.

Oh, I love fireplaces! If it were up to me, I would never put it out! I’d just turn down the air in the summer. I love sitting in front of a crackling fire watching the flames flicker. It’s my happy place.

How about you? Do you find fire warm and relaxing or do you see it as a consuming agent of destruction?

The Bible speaks of fire 510 times in the King James version. Fire is usually associated with judgment in the Bible. Most of us think of fire in terms of heat, light, cooking, and protection.

May the only consuming fire in your life be contained within your fireplace, not in your afterlife. Knowing Jesus is your security when it comes to staying out of the heat, the fire.

Let’s all keep our fires burning when we want heat or ambience, but not forget to keep our chimneys ready for Santa’s visit on Christmas eve, and our lives pure for God’s judgment.

The fire shall ever be burning upon the altar, it shall never go out.  Leviticus 6:13

Love and laughter,
