Heavy Load

Good morning!

We are remodeling our house. Wednesday after school we went to pick up the tile for our master bath. Marble for the floor. Subway tile for the shower.

When it came to rhe subway rile, the inventory showed plenty of product, but not the shelves. At each store. We made three different runs to pick up the subway tile at three different stores. We finally got it, went to a late dinner, walked the dog, and crawled into bed after 11:00.

The cargo areas of each of our cars were full as well as our day.

We carted marble for the floor, a herringbone pattern for the shower floor, and bright white subway tile for the shower all in the back of our cars. With several trips. We loaded and unloaded.

Twenty-four boxes of subway tile to be exact. That’s not counting the floor and shower floor tile. In case you’ve never carried around tile, let me tell you, it’s not light. It’s heavy.

As they loaded it into my car, they instructed me to be careful, the load on my car was more weight than it was designed to hold.

It was heavy. Unlike Christ”s burden. It is light.

If you are looking for something light this holiday season, that doesn’t weigh you down, let me suggest a relationship with Christ.

He will come along side you and help you carry whatever burdens you may be carrying. Just give them to him.

Now that that task is complete.I can’t wait to see the finished product!

Take my yoke upon you. Let me teach you, because I am humble and gentle at heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy to bear, and the burden I give you is light.                                              Matthew 11:29-30

Love and laughter,

Sandy
