Today is the fourth Thursday of November. It’s Thanksgiving. So let’s give thanks!
Amidst the parades, the football, the food, the family, and friends, let’s take a moment and truly give thanks.
Thanks in all circunstances.
For all we have. Food on the table. Shelter over our heads. Freedom. Things like health and happiness. Love and laughter.
And for all we don’t have. Religious persecution.
I encourage you to start your day by giving thanks.
What are you thankful for today?
Me? I’m thankful for a God who created me, who will never forsake me, and who loves me unconditionally. For the honor of being born into a country founded upon freedom. For waking up this morning in a beautiful home in Plano belonging to my new brother and sister in law and their son who have graciously shown us the gift of hospitality. For waking up next to the man I love, who completes me in so many ways, my awesome husband. For the smell of coffee on a cool autumn morning. For the upcoming dinner I get to share with new family and friends. For my dear father in law, and high school principal, who will be joining us. For those that won’t be with me today in person, but will in my heart, my three daughters and father. For a safe drive back home to Tulsa. For my home that’s being made anew. For my students in room 309. For a time of rest and relaxation from work.
For that I rejoice. And I hope you rejoice too! Always!
My prayer for all is a day blessed with warm food and conversation, love and laughter, and peace and joy. I pray this for all my friends and family and students, wherever you may be.
From the first thanksgiving in Plymouth to this present one today, however you choose to celebrate, may God’s will be done.
Happy Thanksgiving to all! I love you! Thank you for making my heart and life full.❤
Rejoice always, pray continuously, give thanks in all circumstances, for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus. 1 Thessalonians 5:16-18
Love and laughter,
