This was our lesson plan in a bowl for Tuesday. It was Halloween. We made dirt.
Who wouldn’t want a creepy, crawly worm climbing out of their dessert treat on Halloween?
We are learning about measurement. Volume. Mass. Matter. Cups. Pints. Quarts. And gallons. What better way to learn than to pull out the measuring cups, pull up our sleeves, and dig right in and get dirty doing some hands on learning? No pun intended.
That’s exactly what we did. Boys and girls alike. We made dirt. Oreo dirt. Dessert, that is.
We read the directions. We had to follow them in order. There was our English Language Arts. We measured. There is our math. We watched as chemical reaction caused pudding to form. Science. And we ate it! Lesson plan complete!
How about you?
What plans are you following?
I hope they include the plan God has mapped out for you! I pray that that’s the direction mine are following! If they are, I can assure you, you will prosper!
Here’s to eating dirt!
For I know the plans I have for you declares the Lord, plans for welfare and not for evil, to give you a future and a hope. jeremiah 29:11
