The Dead Zone

Good morning!

As I was getting dressed this past weekend in my little black dress to go out to a party, I realized that I’ve reached that age where I’m just not as flexible as I used to be.

I could zip the back of my dress up so far, then I had to reach over my shoulder to reach that last six inches or so to the top.

That’s where the struggle lies.

The dead zone. As I like to call it.

You ladies out there know what I’m talking about. We’ve all have experienced it. And most have felt the panic of trying to get out of a dress in a retail dressing room at some time or another thanks to those pesky back zippers.

I’m so blessed. I found the solution!

My knight in shining armor rode in and saved the day! Or you may know him as my husband. I knew there was a reason I married that man!

As real as the struggle may have been, there was no longer a need to struggle. He graciously finished the task for me! Zip! I was ready to go!

Do you have a dead zone in your life? An area that you struggle with? An area that is unreachable? Untouchable? Lost?

Here’s the good news! Let Christ in! He can help you with that just like my husband did with my zipper!

Now I understood why my grandmother wore those attractive “house dresses”! They snapped up the front!

Let’s all bring our dead zone to life. Our lost to found.

For the son of Man came to seek and to save the lost.                                        Luke 19:10

Love and laughter,

Sandy
