Soup

Good morning!

We all have our go to foods. Our favorites.  Mine has always been soup and salad. I’m not much of a meat and potatoes kind of girl. It’s salad in the summer, and soup in the winter for me.

It’s fall. There’s nothing I enjoy better than a big, steaming bowl of soup to warm my spirits. Especially with fall flavors. Butternut squash at Stonehorse.  Caramelized carrot and ginger topped with coconut gelato at Bin 35 Bistro. Autumn squash at Panera. And I’m always game for a hot bowl of chili! Yum!

Do you know what else makes you feel all warm inside?

Our Heavenly Father. His son, Jesus Christ. And the Holy Spirit that dwells inside us. We can carry around that warm feeling with us every day, not just at meal time, if we just believe.

It’s fall. It’s beginning to get chilly out. Why not stay warm on the inside as well as the outside? Enjoy pouring up a temporary hot bowl of chili to warm your physical being, AND a permanent relationship with The Trinity to keep warm your spiritual being!

I remember the Lipton instant soup commercials as a child and their slogan, is it soup yet?

We don’t have to wait for it to be soup to warm our souls. Why not join me in warming yours? Let the Holy Spirit pour God’s love into your heart today!

And hope does not put us to shame, because God’s love has been poured out into our hearts through the Holy Spirit, who has been given to us.    Romans 5:5

Love and laughter,

Sandy
