The Boy Scouts motto is to be prepared. That’s exactly what this week is all about at Kendall-Whittier.
We, as classroom teachers and administrators, are becoming prepared for our students to return to their classrooms next Monday. Our classrooms and our brains have been filled to capacity with a great few days full of fun, fellowship, and lots of knowledge.
Tonight we welcome our parents at Preview Night.
Did you know that Jesus was prepared too? Just like our teachers. He tells us in God’s word that he had to go ahead to prepare a place for us. Similar to our classrooms which provide a home-away-from-home for our students, Jesus is preparing our eternal home. This one here is only temporary.
I can only imagine what it shall be like!
Let’s all live our lives prepared. Prepared for our future. We never know when that day may come. When we meet Jesus in one of his many mansions. All you have to do is believe. In Him. As your savior.
Lesson plans seem pretty trivial compared to that. But for now that’s what I’ll prepare. Touching minds and hearts ’til I meet my maker. I’m prepared. Are you?
