Caffeinated

Good morning!

I love coffee! I have to start each day with a cup of hot, strong, black coffee. Or two.

I prefer flavored. Hazelnut. Or french vanilla. And a hot or cold latte will do if I’m at a coffee house and want to change it up a bit.

Just no decaf!                                     What’s the point in drinking it? You’re basically just drinking brown water.

I want mine

CAFFEINATED!

I need my energy boost.

I think of myself as someone with fairly high energy. I go. Alot. I stay busy. I sleep very little. But if I really think about it, I’m not so sure whether that’s me, my nature, or my coffee talking. Let’s face it! I’m addicted. To coffee. To caffeine. I’m caffeinated! It’s what gives me energy each day. It’s like liquid gold. More like black for me.

But don’t let that cup of java fool you, our true source of energy does not come from a cup. It comes from within. Each of us can plug into it with no power cord necessary.  It’s Christ. Living through us.

Let’s all stop turning to false sources for our power, and give credit where credit is due. Jesus. He’s the vine. We’re the branches.

Let’s all pick up our coffee cups, and make a toast together to that one! Here’s to Jesus! Our source of energy, yesterday, today, and forever!

I am the vine; you sre the branches. If a man renains in me and I in him, he will bear much fruit; apart from me you can do nothing.                            John 15:5

Love and laughter,

Sandy
