We presently have our very own dumpster in our backyard.
At first I thought it would be somewhat of an eye sore, but now it has become very convenient.
Every day we work a little more on our demo project. And out it immediately goes to the dumpster! No mess at all in the actual house where we are residing!
Don’t you wish you had one internally that you could just deposit your personal trash in?
That little white lie? Boom! In the trash. Forget about it! Those unkind thoughts or words you projected at that car that darted in and stole your parking place when you were already running late? TaDa! Buried in the dumpster!
Wouldn’t it be nice?!
Well, believe it or not, we all do have such a thing! It’s called Jesus!
He came to forgive us of all our sin. Our trash. Those things that belong in our personal dumpster. To cleanse us of them all.
Face it. We are all human. We have trash. Personal trash. Things we need to give to Jesus to remove. Just like that dumpster, He will take our trash and hide it. But He is so much more! He offers us love in its place. And all He asks in return is to believe. In Him.
Let’s all take out our trash. Our personal trash. And lay it, instead of the dumpster, at the foot of the cross. And pick up His cross in exchange.
Here’s to clean up projects! Just like my home. Making the old become fresh and new. Let’s do it on our insides as well as our out!
We have all become like one who is unclean, and all our righteous deeds are like a polluted garment. We all fade like a leaf, and our iniquities, like the wind, take us away. Isaiah 64:6
