Good morning!
Our very fun, festive resident that I recently posted sporting his cow attire for Cow Appreciation Day began our shift yesterday by sharing a dancing hot dog snap chat meme with us.
Yesterday was National Hot Dog Day.
I love hot dogs! π I always have. Coneys from Coney I-Lander are my favorite. And I’ve also been known to make a few QuikTrip runs for their hot dogs when I’d forgotten my lunch at school. But yesterday I resisted. I did not eat a hot dog. Instead I ate a salad for lunch.
There is nothing good about a hot dog. Nutritionally speaking that is. But in my opinion there is nothing better than a burnt hot dog off a grill.
Why is it we want those things that are not good for us? And seldom want those things that are. Like spinach. And broccoli. And brussel sprouts.
Paul couldn’t have said it any better in Romans when he stated he did not understand what he did. It’s our flesh. The natural state of mankind. Without God. Our nature.
Let’s all work harder at being less flesh driven. Less selfish. Let’s think more of doing for others. And if we’re going to eat hot dogs, let’s all eat all beef hot dogs. They’re better for us. π
Here’s to weiners! One of summer’s favorite foods!
I do not understand what I do. For what I want to do I do not do, but what I hate I do. Romans 7:15
Love and laughter,
