I work in the PICU at The Children’s Hospital at St Francis. It is the critical care unit for children. When I’m at work my life is not all about love and laughter. Sometimes it’s about code blues and fast responses and lots of prayers.
A code blue is an emergency hospital code indicating a patient needing immediate resuscitation. Cardiac or respiratory.
I have more times than not seen some quick responding nurses and doctors save lives.
You know you don’t have to be a patient or even present in an intensive care unit to have your life saved. You can turn to Jesus.
He offers us all His saving grace. Consider Him your life saver. Whether it be a physical or spiritual battle you are fighting. He is the keeper of our hearts and souls. He is our breath of life.
Let’s all take a moment and give thanks for the skill and knowledge of our medical teams. Without them many would not survive their code blue moments in life. Their second chances at life. Then take a moment to give thanks to God for giving us life. And giving us His son who gave His life to save ours.
Here’s to all the doctors and nurses and support staff in the PICU at The Children’s Hospital at St Francis! You all are the best! Im honored to be a part of your team! I love you all!
And there is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved. Acts 4:12
