Last Friday in Vegas was a big day for me. One qeek ago today, I got married! But little did I know that at midnight that very same day, when Friday became Saturday, it was a bigger day for many more also in Las Vegas. Legalized recreational marijuana was being dispensed in that very same city beginning at midnight.
I live in Oklahoma. The bible belt. I’m an Okie. We have songs here written about not smoking marijuana (in Muskogee).
In fact, we just recently finally passed SQ792 to allow beer and wine sales in our fair city’s grocery and convenience stores. And that won’t even go into affect until October 1, 2018.
Everyone seems to think times are changing. This world is getting more and more corrupt. I choose to believe differently. Ever since the fall of Adam and Eve there has been corruption. We are human. We just are more privy to hearing about it with the explosion of social media these days. We are more publicly accepting of it.
I choose to be an optimist. To see the good. I still believe there is alot of good left in this world. More good than bad. And I’m going to continue to try my hardest to keep it that way.
