Grand Canyon

Good morning!

I recently flew over the Grand Canyon. The pilot tipped the wing of the plane so we could get a bird’s eye view.

That is one big hole in the ground! As I peered out my airplane window, I thought about the greatness of nature. I was truly experiencing God’s artwork here. Our world is full of it. It’s His canvas. If we just look.

I’d been there before. By car. I’d walked around a small portion of  it. Experienced its massive size. It was much easier to grasp seeing it as a whole from some 45,000 feet in the air.

Speaking of big holes. Did you know that each of us was created with a big hole in our heart? A hole that only God can fill.

God has made each of us with a longing in our heart that we all try to fill one way or another. Some with human relationships. Some with pets. Some with food or drink or drug. Some with stuff. However we may try, we will never fill it with man made treasures. We were created to spend eternity with our God. With God filling our hearts. Our souls. And He is God. He has no intention of revealing His ways to us fully. So let’s all just accept the love, spread it around, and enjoy the nature along the way.

He has made everything beautiful in its time. Also, he has put eternity into man’s heart, yet so that he cannot find out what God has done from the beginning to the end.             Ecclesiastes 3:11

Love and laughter,
