The Ice Cream Man

Good morning!

As I was driving out of my neighborhood Saturday  evening,  I passed this blast from the past.

The ice cream man!šŸ¦

As a child I remember the melodic sound of the ice cream truck as it slowly meandered from street to street in my neighborhood. We often played outdoors from morning ’til dark. We, being the kids in our neighborhood.   Once a child recognized that sound, they went running home to get some change from mom or dad for the ice cream man. What memories!

Just one note of that oh so familiar melody sent my thoughts back to simpler times, all the magical childhood memories of summertime came rushing in.

What triggers warm fuzzies for you?

Saturday it was the sound of an ice cream truck for me. Today it may a smell. Or a sight. Who knows? We’ll just have to wait and see.

Did you know that when Jesus left this earth He sent us a helper to help us remember all that He taught. The Holy Spirit to live in our soul as a gentle reminder. Our trigger to bring back memories of Christ.

Whatever triggers warm fuzzies for you, may you experience it abundantly. We all need good memories of things from our past to remember.  But in the meantime make new memories!  And while you’re at it, eat lots of ice cream! It’s summertime! šŸ˜Ž

But the Helper, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in My name, He will teach you all things, and bring to your remembrance all that I said to you                                                         John 14:26

Love and laughter,

Sandy
