Listen. Silent. Two words. Both used to express our audible world. 🙉
Have you ever really thought about it? They both are made up of the exact same letters. Coincidence? I don’t think so.
Sometimes we just need to be quiet. Be still. Be silent. And listen.
We can’t learn a thing when we talk. We are only spewing our own knowledge. That which we already know. To learn we must be silent. And listen. To others. Only then can we truly learn something new.
When life is coming at you full force, from all sides, and you feel overwhelmed. Be silent. Listen. And you can learn something. From God. He speaks to us in the silence. Loud and clear. If we’ll just listen with our souls.
What’s God trying to tell you today?
As I sit here and drink my morning coffee, in silence, I listen. And today God tells me to listen. To be silent. To slow down, pull up a chair, and spend some time alone with Him. To engage. In relationship. To let Him be my guide. Oh, the path He lays out is not one I would imagine in my wildest dreams. But when I see it unfold, it is magnificent! And my soul is full.
And all it takes is to listen. And be silent.
Be still, and know I am God. Psalm 46:10
