My car was a mess. It’s a Honda Crosstour, a hatchback, and I had been hauling bags of mulch and leaves to be disposed of in it all last weekend. My sweet boyfriend sprang for a trip to Mr. Klean. The platinum package. While I waited, I went inside The Ivy Door, the gift shop inside. It’s always fun to browse their merchandise. . They sell a little bit of everything.
I found this little sign amongst all their goodies.
As I read it, I realized I am!😊 In spite of my crazy, hectic life, I do take time to do what makes my soul happy.
1. I spend time with God. Whether at Life Church or through my scripture search each morning as I write my blog or simply my day to day life experiences, I do.
2. I write. My blog.
3. I hang out with my friends with special needs.
4. I love others and cherish being loved.❤
How about you? What makes your soul happy? Truly happy?
Are you taking the time to do it? If not, now is the time!
And if you want to save a little time for doing those things that make your soul happy, why not run your car up to Mr. Klean and let them clean your car for you until it sparkles? And you can multi-task. Work on some of that work you need to take care of via your phone as you sit and wait. Or better yet, the shopping while you wait is well worth your time. But whatever you do, make sure you do what makes your soul happy!
I know there is nothing better for people than to be happy and to do good while they live. Ecclesiastical 3:12
