Yesterday was the last day of school for two of our classes. One of their sweet parents gave each of us a fun little care package as a going away present for the end of the year.
It was a bowl full of goodies. A bright bowl of yellow. Sunshine in a bowl!
It was a breath of sunshine on a day that had turned from sunny to cloudy to rainy.
It was a reminder to me of the sunshine those precious little faces shine forth as they go about their day. We may have our ups and downs working with special needs students, but I wouldn’t trade it for the world.
They are my sunshine. 🌞
To a cloudy day. 🌨
What brings you sunshine? What brightens your day? In spite of life’s ups and downs.
One thing you can count on for certain to bring you sunshine is the sun itself. God created it. Just like He created you and me. And it rises each day without fail. Just like us.
But our true source of light is not the sun, it’s even greater. It’s the Son. God’s son himself.
Let’s all let the light of the world shine down upon us and in turn let it radiate through us to be a constant light to others.
Thank you, Declan’s mom, for the thoughtful and creative gesture. For shining your light on us. I love it! 💛 But, I love him more! And thank you for the privilege to work with your child this past year.
Let’s all let our little lights shine! 💡🕯🔦
He dawns on them like the morning light, like the sun shining forth on a cloudless morning, like rain that makes grass to sprout from the earth. 2 Samuel 23:4
