I work at the hospital on Thursday nights. 7 p.m. to 7 a.m. I had the luxury this week of taking an hour nap before I went in. I slept until the last minute, so I failed to eat dinner before I went in. I knew I’d be hungry before my midnight meal break, so I pulled two chicken nuggets out of the freezer, put them on a plate and set them in the microwave for 90 seconds to tide me over.
I work in the Children’s Hospital. Desparate people do desparate things. I was eating the kid’s food. I wondered if there was any nutritional value in these whatsoever. I’m no rocket scientist, but something tells me chicken shaped like a dinosaur is not real chicken.
I’m convinced that all the rise in disease in our society is partly due to all the chemicals we add to our food and drink, all the satellites and wifi and waves floating through the air, and all those things destroying our ozone layer all rolled into one.
What we put into our bodies matters.
But what matters more is what comes out of them. From our hearts. ♡
Let’s all be thoughtful of our health and be conscientious about what we put into our bodies. Let’s all stop eating dinosaurs, those archaic things that just don’t offer us nutrition. For our bodies and our souls. Let’s stop putting things into our bodies that were not intended to fuel them. But more importantly, let’s put a filter on what comes out. Keeping it clean and pure and good and edifying. It’s all part of God’s plan. What goes in and what comes out.
Dinosaurs have become extinct. Let’s follow God’s plan, so we don’t have to join them.
