Lauren

Good morning!

Yesterday was my middle daughter’s birthday.  It was a beautiful sunny day and still warm into the evening with the temperature in the low 80s. We decided to meet at R Bar and Grill on Brookside near her home and sit outside for our family dinner celebration.

Why is it so much more fun to sit outside when the temperatures are pleasant?

It’s funny how just days ago we were experiencing terrential downpours and sitting outside would have been the farthest thing from our minds. How soon we forget when the weather brightens.
That’s kind of how it is with childbirth.  As women, giving birth is just plain painful. Yet as soon as that child is born we so quickly forget. We are instantly engulfed in the love that motherhood brings.

I love my daughter. ♡ I’m very proud of the woman she’s become. I can’t even recall any pain surrounding her entry into this world. Nor any she’s ever caused to me over the years. But I do recall all the joy her mere existence has brought into my life. 🙂

She’s beginning a new career. She just completed training, and Saturday is her maiden flight as flight attendant for her new employers. I wish her the very best on this journey and all it will offer. And I pray that wherever life takes her, she too, forgets any pain her past may have caused her, and sees nothing but blue skies over each horizon.

I hope you had a happy birthday, Lauren! 🙂 I love you! ♡

21 A woman giving birth to a child has pain because her time has come; but when her baby is born she forgets the anguish because of her joy that a child is born into the world.                                                       John 16:21

Love and laughter,
