Good morning!

Grace is defined as the free and unmerited favor of God.

Friday night I met grace. I mean I truly met Grace.

Her name was Grace. How appropriate.  Let me back up a bit. It was a typical Friday. I picked up my boyfriend from the airport as i do every friday night. We headed to midtown as we normally do to eat dinner. Except this particular evening he decided to change it up a little. We went to Brookside instead of Utica Square.  As we were finishing our meal sitting at the bar another couple joined us. We cordially exchanged introductory greetings then began small talk. As conversations naturally flow, what do you do was one of the iirst questions that was asked.  Well my new friend Grace was a special education teacher. I was a special ed para that wanted to be a special education teacher. Not only was Grace a special education teacher, she was a new one. She had recently completed a special education boot camp to receive her certification.  I was taking a special education boot camp as we spoke! Grace was 57. I am 57. The conversation did not skip a beat from there out.

I have been a little stressed to say the least about fitting in all the demands of the boot camp workload and finding employment with my already busy life of two jobs and the care of an elderly parent. Grace ever so kindly and ever so confidently told me it was going to be okay. She would help me in any way she could. We exchanged phone numbers and parted for the evening.  But somehow I knew I would see Grace again. My heart skipped a beat.♡

If you do not believe in God interventions, you have never had the privilege of meeting grace. Grace with a little g. The kind that God offers to each of us. If we’ll just slow down and look,. He’s there. He’s more than willing to offer His favor if we are just open to it.

Friday night He gave me grace. And Grace. My new friend. ♡

I’m calm now. I’m at peace.  I know in my heart it’s all going to be okay. God told me so. Through Grace. And my sweet boyfriend who took me by the hand and led me straight to Bin 35 Bistro and grace.♡

My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.       2 Corinthians 12:9

Love and laughter,
