Edify

Good morning!

Each year I choose a word to best describe my upcoming year. I’ve been known to display it on my mantle or wear it around my neck.

This year I have chosen the word edify.  To educate or encourage. Edify means to instruct or improve (someone) morally or intellectually.

I can’t think of a better word to represent where my 2017 is headed. I write a daily devotional blog in an attempt to morally edify others. I am presently working towards my alternative teaching certification to intellectually edify others.

It takes just as much effort to think or speak negative thoughts or words as it does positive ones. Let’s all edify others this 2017!   It’s not a bad thing! 🙂

Thank you to all my readers. I think every one of you is the bomb! ♡ Your viewership and comments help edify me!  I hope in some small way I have edified you this past year. If not, keep reading. I’ll try again in 2017!  I’m bound to eventually hit on something that will edify you! Encourage you. Improve or instruct you.

Therefore let us pursue the things which make for peace and the things by which one may edify another.                    Romans 14:19

Love and laughter,

Sandy

  1. Thank you for edifying me through your blogs. I am following your example – my word for 2017 is contentment – referring to it everyday really “Blesses me Beyond Belief”.
