Snow Day

Good morning!

Yesterday was a Snow Day! For the city of Tulsa. It had snowed throughout the night. And it was BRRRRRRRRRRRR cold outside!  And it still is!

Schools were officially closed. It was a play in the snow then curl up on the couch in your flannel pajamas under a warm blanket, watch a movie  (Frozen, perhaps?),  drink hot cocoa kind of day. Unless you were a grown up. And had to go to work for the day.

For those of us that work in education,  we did not have to be grown ups. Not on rhis Friday! 🙂  We got the memo. Schools would be closed due to inclement weather. We could play. Or stay in our pajamas. We got the message that refreshed our souls. It was a Snow day! 🙂

What other message would refresh your soul upon receiving?

Jesus came as the message. The incarnate message of God’s love.

Just like Friday’s weather sent us snowflakes,  a message of cold winter weather, God sent us Jesus to declare the good news of God’s kingdom.

No matter how you spent your Friday,  whether it was a Snow Day for you or just another day in the grand scheme of things, I hope you lived it to its fullest.

Life is short. Unlike the snowflakes thst recently fell, blanketing Tulsa, too many to count, we are given a finite number of days to live. Let’s all make them count. Let’s spread the message of God’s love to all. Fresh and pure as the new fallen snow.

I hope the kid in you got to play on this snow day however that may have been. Perhaps you got to at least lie on your back looking up at God’s magnificent creation, swinging your arms and legs back and forth and at least making a snow angel.

In spite of the bitter cold, my snow day warmed my heart. I hope yours did too÷ ♡

Like the cold of snow in the time of harvest Is a faithful messenger to those who send him, For he refreshes the soul of his masters.                                     Proverbs 25:13

Love and laughter,

Sandy
