As the old year drew to its close, I could be found cleaning out. Out with the old. In with the new. I cleaned out my closet. And with it, I cleaned out an old part of my life.
The Harley chapter.
ff anyone is in search of some x-small to small Harley wear worn only a few times with touches of pink and bling, give me a shout! I’ve got you covered from head to toe! That motorcycle ride lasted about as long as the marriage it rode in on ! 🙂
Life is about change. I’ve changed. That girl in me is no longer. Out with the old. In with the new.
It is comforting to know that as we grow and change, our God never does. Jesus is the same yesterday, today, and forever.
Instead of putting on my rhinestone emblazoned helmet, I choose to put on my helmet of salvation. I’m ready to trade in my Harley bling for something that shines much greater. The glory of God. That shines from within me.
Just like my Harley wear is for sale. For a price. So are we. We were bought with a price. The price was high. The life of God’s only son paid for our lives. That’s a bill of sale I’ll take any day!
Just like my Harley wear covered me from head to toe, so does the love of Jesus. And I can assure you He’ll protect us much greater than a thin layer of leather and a fiberglass helmet!
Let’s all clean out the old.in our lives. The things in our life that hold us back. The things that tie us down..That enslave us to this world. That hinder us from doing God’s will. Then let’s put on the armor of God and be ready for the ride of our lives!
Hop on! I’m in! 🙂 How about you?
God paid a high price for you, so don’t be enslaved by the world. 1 Corinthians 7:23
