My prayer. My wish. For 2017 would be, “Dear Jesus, let them see you in me.”
This time of year brings reflection on the outgoing year. The things I did right. The things I need to change.
We all so often make resolutions. Resolve to eat less. Exercise more. Spend less. Give more. Stress less. Love more.
How about resolving to be more like Jesus? We can all look in a mirror and see the physical changes we need to make. What about those spiritual changes we could improve upon?
I, for one, could get closer to God. Speak less. Pray more. Walk the talk more consistently. Follow God’s path better than my own. I want others to see more Jesus in me.
How about you?
May this upcoming year reflect more Christ in each of us. To a hurting world. In a year of unknown possibilities. May God’s glory reflect through each of us. Today. And this upcoming year.
A new year is coming! Let us glorify God!
So all of us who have had that veil removed can see and reflect the glory of the Lord. And the Lord–who is the Spirit–makes us more and more like him as we are changed into his glorious image. 2 Corinthians 3:18
