Finest Hour

Good morning!

As I sit here reminiscing over the events of this past week in preparation to begin a new one, my take away is this. It took the Chicago Cubs 108 years to win again. But they did it! They won the World Series.  🙂

Never give up. Persevere. Have patience. If you believe in something.  Want something bad enough, you too can have your finest hour.

I love the words of Winston Churchill,   “To each there comes in their lifetime a special moment when they are figuratively tapped on the shoulder and offered the chance to do a very special thing, unique to them and fitted to their talents. What a tragedy if that moment finds them unprepared or unqualified for that which could have been their finest hour.”

When most of the country had turned their focus and their TV remotes to our upcoming presidential election or current football season, the die hard Cubs fans saw their loyalty come to fruition.

The Cubs won the prize! They ran in those stadiums from base to base  Infield and out. And hit and threw and caught the ball to the best of their abilities. One and only one team can take the prize. And they did it.

Let’s all always give our best!  Make every hour our finest hour.  You never know when it’s your time to shine. Your opportunity to win the prize.  Let’s all run our lives in such a way that when all is said and done,  we are all winners of the ultimate prize. Eternity with our Heavenly Father. Now that will be our finest hour. ♡

Don’t you know that the runners in a stadium all race, but only one receives the prize? Run in such a way to win the prize.                                                                    1 Corinthians 9:24

Love and laughter,

Sandy
