Caramel Apples

Good morning!

One of my favorite fall treats is a caramel apple.  I prefer a crisp, tart Granny Smith apple. With lots of caramel. And chopped nuts. And chocolate. And…

I used to get one at the Tulsa State Fair each fall as part of my “fair food”. I no longer attend the fair, but I did make a special visit to Rocky Mountain Chocolate Factory last Sunday with my daughters for part of my birthday treat  They use Granny Smith apples, my favorite. And dip them in thick succulent caramel and then anything you could possibly imagine. They’ll even slice them for you so you can eat them immediately.  Mess free. And share them if you get more than one. (And are nice enough to share 🙂 ) We sampled Butterfinger and Cheesecake. Yum! ♡

There I was. Eating gourmet caramel apples with my daughters and my grandchildren.  It just doesn’t get much better than that. They’re the apple of my eye. ♡

Apple of my eye. A term that refers to something or someone that one cherishes above all others. Moses is believed to hsve written about it around 1400 B.C. It refers to the pupil of the eye, one of the most sensitive parts of the human body.

How about you? What are some of your favorite things?. What do you consider the apple of your eye?

Did you know that God considers each of you the apple of His eye? That’s pretty special! ♡

Let’s all reciprocate.  Let’s make Him the apple of our eye as well. He is the one thing worthy of it. He is the only thing we should place above all others.

God first.  ♡ Everything else second. Caramel apples tasty for sure, but not the apple of my eye!

Keep me as the apple of the eye; Hide me in the shadow of Your wings               Psalm 17 8

Love and laughter,
