This is why I do what I do! ♡
Where else do you get such affirmation than at an elementary school? ♡
I start my work day each day by standing at the door greeting our pre-K friends as they arrive for school. This past morning I was handed this precious love note by one of my students from last year. One of the sweetest four year olds there ever was!
I’d been absent for several days due to my eye surgery. And contrary to popular belief, someone noticed. ♡
I sent his mother a message telling her how touched I was by the note and to make sure he knew it.To let him know how much I love him. And to reaffirm what a great family they were! This was her response.
You could not have given me a million dollars and it be of any more value than that precious sentiment!
Who says this world is falling apart? This precious four year old acted out in love on his own free will to another human being. If that does not restore hope in our future generations, I don’t know what does.
God wrote each of us love notes through the hands of different men across time. It’s called the bible. It’s word after word of His love for us. It’s not just words. It’s actions and truths of real life stories of real life people and their relationships with God. With Jesus.
Let’s all have that faith like a little child. Let’s not just love with words or speech, but with our actions. Let’s send handmade love notes to those we love. Building them up. Let’s go that extra mile and do something special for someone else that least expects it. Let’s make their day. Which in turn, will make ours.
Thank you Tripp!!! ♡ I love you MORE!
Dear children, let us not love with words or speech but with actions and in truth. 1 John 3:18
