Sales Pitch

Good morning!

My boyfriend normally comes in on Friday nights. This weekend was going to be slightly different. He was supposed to attend the Ole Miss football game last night at 6:00 PM in Oxford,  Mississippi.   Plans changed.                           Unfortunately his ticket back to Tulsa did not. 😦                                                                   It was a nonrefundable airline ticket.

But no worries. 🙂  He’s a smooth operator!  All he had to do was talk the ticket agent there at the airport into changing his outbound ticket to a day earlier flight so he could arrive on Friday.

I had faith in him.♡ If anyone could do it, he could!  He’s in sales. 🙂 He’s got the lines. He used them on me, and they worked! ♡ And they still do! ♡           Every day!

All he had to do was offer his best sales pitch.

A sales pitch is defined as a line of talk that attempts to persuade someone with a planned presentation strategy of a product or service designed to initiate and close a sale of the product or service.

What sales pitch are you currently using? With others? With yourself? With God? I can assure you, God knows your heart. He also knows every trick in the book. He’s been around a long time. A very long time. Since the beginning of time. So if you’re trying to persuade Him to approve of your current lifestyle by justifying your own plan even when you know  it’s against His word, you can stop. I can assure you, it won’t work. God’s word is not conditional. He’s as unconditional as they come. He has no favorites. He loves everyone.  God is love. He can’t be bribed. What could you possibly offer Him? Everything is already His. When you follow your own path, miss the mark of God’s direction, it’s just plain sin. No sales pitch out there is going to change that. God is unchangeable.

Let’s all save our sales pitches for exactly that, those in sales. Let’s be genuine. Let’s let our character go before us so we don’t have to try and sell a bill of goods to anyone.  And let’s buy into the only sales pitch out there that really works. Jesus is the son of God. He gave His life for our sin. If we accept Him we can have everlasting life.

God is not man, that he should lie, or a son of man, that he should change his mind. Has he said, and will he not do it? Or has he spoken, and will he not fulfill it?                                                           Numbers 23:19

Love and laughter,

Sandy
