My dad has always loved nice cars. Sports cars. Luxury cars. SUV cars. Play cars. Preferably fast cars.
This is the car my dad had when he met my mother. And they were married in two months. ♡ Was it the man or the wheels? My mother always said both! 🙂
These are the wheels he’s currently sporting. At 86. They may not be as fast as in his younger days, but they both came brand new. Top of the line. In candy apple red.
Some things never change. 🙂
Some temporary health issues like a case of pneumonia, sepsis, and acute kidney failure may have taken away his present strength. Thus, causing him to fall. To lose his strength. His complete independence. But not his wheels. They’ve just been exchanged for a bit. Temporarily.
If he was going to have to have assistance with his mobility, his walking, it was going to have to look as good as it functioned or he wasn’t about to use it. It’s just how he is.
How about you?
Does how something looks matter to you? Are you more concerned with what something looks like on the outside than the inside?
Let’s all stop falling for the wrong things. Let’s see with our hearts not just our eyes. Let’s make sure our walks are headed in the right direction. So we don’t fall for anything. And let’s all let Jesus be our driving force.
A person’s steps are directed by the Lord, and the Lord delights in his way. When he falls, he will not be thrown down headfirst because the Lord holds on to his hand. I have been young, and now I am old, but I have never seen a righteous person abandoned or his descendants begging for food. He is always generous and lends freely. His descendants are a blessing. Avoid evil, do good, and live forever. Psalm 37:23-29
