War is inevitable. Just turn on the History Channel if you don’t believe me. It started with Eve and the serpent. And it’s still going strong. Just turn on the daily news to keep you abreast on the most current warfare. We are always battling something. Fighting for what we believe in. Or against what we don’t. Spiritual warfare.
The enemy loves to bring division. It renders both parties ineffective. This means that as Christians we ought to be wary of attacks from the enemy and remember every day that we are at war with him. Him. Not our fellow humans of different races or religions. Not our politicians. Not our kids. Not even our spouses or significant others.
Let’s all pick and choose our battles. Stop and ask, Will it matter in five years? Let’s choose only the battles big enough to matter and small enough to win. And never forget that sometimes we need to lose the small battles to win the war.
Eating your vegetables is a small battle. Except if you’re the one with the plate in front of you.:)
Let’s all pick and choose our battles. Let’s work together in love. In peace. Towards serving others. Sharing Christ.
War is inevitable. It must take place. But let’s not let the enemy steal the power and strength we have been given through Christ to keep fighting the good fight and keeping the faith. The choice is yours.
And you will hear of wars and rumors of wars. See that you are not alarmed, for this must take place, but the end is not yet. For nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom, and there will be famines and earthquakes in various places. Matthew 24:6-7
