Blew Out My Flip Flop

Good morning!

Okay, this is why a girl has to own so many pairs if shoes! Last night my second pair of sandals this summer broke while I was out to dinner! I literally blew out my flip flop! Where was Margaritaville when I needed it? 🙂 I’m going to have to start carrying a spare pair in my purse (or a glue gun)! And you know what that means? I’ll need to buy a bigger purse! 🙂

There is nothing worse than your shoe breaking when you’re out in public and you have no back up! Especially if it is a heel. :(.

Have you ever thought about it? That’s kind of true to life. We go along coasting through life giving little thought to it until something breaks. A heart. A relationship.  Our finances. Our job. When we least expect it. And more than likely just like me and my shoe we have no back up plan, no spare pair. So we just hold our head up and limp along until we can find something to replace it. Fix it.

Jesus is our fix.He can bind the broken. He can be our glue gun for those things in life that break. On the inside not the external.

When your sandal strap is broken turn to your local shoe repair or your glue gun or your favorite shoe store to buy a new pair, but when your heart and soul need repair turn to Jesus..

None is weary, none stumbles, none slumbers or sleeps, not a waistband is loose, not a sandal strap broken;       Isaiah 5:27

Love and laughter,

Sandy
