Dig In

Good morning!

Hanging out with a guy means sometimes watching TV shows about guy things. Like sports and cars and war. I recently watched an old 1945 Errol Flynn war movie, Objective Burma! and a documentary on the beaches of Normandy. Both acquainted me with the term “dig in”. If soldiers dig in or dig themselves in, they dig trenches where they can wait for an attack. This allows them to be somewhat hidden and protected.

Do you go through life digging trenches and waiting for attack?

What battles are you hiding from?

Let’s all dig in and face whatever fears that may confront us. Head on. We are stronger than we think. We have hope and safety in our God. The ultimate battle is already won. Let’s all come out of those trenches and stand firm against whatever the enemy throws our way. We are not alone.

If digging in is your pleasure why not pick up your shovel and start digging? Plant some flowers or a garden, or better yet, start digging into God’s word. After all, that’s the best protection you’ll find against those battles out there that life throws your way.No digging necessary.

And you shall be secure, because there is hope; yea, you shall dig about you, and take your rest in safety.
Job 11:18

Love and laughter,

Sandy
