Thunder

Good morning!

If you live in Oklahoma, you’ve more than likely experiened a storm or two. You’ve probably listened to a country western hit from time to time. Our state has been home to many a country crooner. And if you are any type of a sports fan, basketball fan, or support your state teams at all, you’re bound to have watched our NBA team play at least once.

Our tornado season is often ushered in with thunder. Our own, Garth Brooks, couldn’t have sang it any better than with his When Thunder Rolls. And the initials KD are synonymous with Thunder throughout Oklahoma City and the surrounding area.
All point to Oklahoma Thunder.

OKC Thunder.
Just like Oklahoma weather.
A force to be reckoned with.

It was a long holiday weekend of off and on storms. But the biggest storm was the sad close to our Memorial Day weekend as Golden State Warriors, Curry stole the thunder in defeating our own OKC Thunder Monday night in game 7 of the NBA Western Conference Finals.

As I watched the game I sat In awe of the many 3 pointers I watched swishing through the net. That’s why they’re the professionals. Why they get paid the big bucks! What an arm to accurately throw a ball between 22 feet at the corners and 23 feet, 9 inches while being in motion!

Accuracy pays off, but it’s not perfection. Not one player, as good as they are, shoots perfect every time. We’re human. That’s why it’s a game. That’s why the final winner is unpredictable. Just like Oklahoma weather. That’s why we enjoy watching.  And hoping. That our team will win.

The only perfect arm belongs to God. He is the only one that is predictable.  Perfect.

Put your hope in Him. He’s your winning team. Enjoy watching KD, but put your faith in JC. He’s your man that will never miss.

Thank you OKC Thunder for a great season! See you next year! 🙂

Or do you have an arm like God, And can you thunder with a voice like His?
Job 40:9

Love and laughter,

Sandy
