Fragrant Aroma

Good morning!

I know you’ve heard this before, but I absolutely love my job! ♡
Every day there is a new tale to tell. Of the precious words and deeds of children. In all their innocence. A day rarely goes by that I am not brought to tears by laughter or pulling on my heart strings by them.

This past week offered one of the finest.
Tales that is.
We take each of our classes of 3 year olds to the bathroom at the same time each day. The girl’s bathroom accommodates one person at a time. We do not close the door,  but rather stand in the doorway in case assistance is needed.

I had taken one of our little girls into the bathroom.  She was taking longer than normal so I asked her if she was finished, thinking she was daydreaming and knowing there were others to follow after her. She ever so kindly informed me as she sat upon her royal throne complete with bow on her head and girly girl sparkly tutu dress all spread out around her that she was pooping and poop stinks. I needed to get out. I explained to her that I needed to stay there and it was okay. She asked me if we had spray. I brought in the Lysol. She was not having it. She told me her mommy had spray and it smells good. Like flowers.

Out of the mouths of babes!

I am friends with her mommy. I just HAD to share that story with her. She messaged me this weekend that she would be sending some good smelling spray in her daughter’s backpack the next school day. And here it is. If we couldn’t drink margaritas at school,  we could at least pretend! How sweet it is!

As I took the spray out of her backpack, I shared the story with the rest of the classroom staff. No one expected anything any differently from her. She’s a little princess. A true 3 year old DIVA!  🙂 And we love her dearly! ♡

Let’s all be like beloved children. Let’s walk in love. Let’s be concerned with leaving a fragrant aroma wherever we go.

Therefore be imitators of God, as beloved children; and walk in love, just as Christ also loved you and gave Himself up for us, an offering and a sacrifice to God as a fragrant aroma.
Ephesians 5 : 1-2

Love and laughter,

P.S. And by the way, she showed up today in matching bow, shoes, and dress to die for! I wanted to borrow it! ♡ The skirt was so full, she took up 3 stars sitting in our circle! Now that’s a DIVA! 😉
