I have never been diagnosed as such, the disorder didn’t exist in my younger days, but I would assume I’m a candidate for Adderall.
I always have good intentions of getting things done. I make the to do list. I get the supplies needed ready. Then I head to one room. I see something that needs to go in another room. Off I go. The phone rings. Off to answer it. Lunch? Be right there. I’m sure you get the gist of it. Projects. Tasks. I start many and finish few. 😦 It’s not the commitment I have trouble with. It’s carrying it through to the end. To completion.
If I can just start with baby steps. Rome wasn’t built in a day. Stay on task. Not leave a room until I’m finished with it. Stack those things for other places in a basket to return upon completion, let that phone ring, I think I might just succeed.
With spring break upon us, I’m really going to get started. Or better said finished.
Whatever your unfinished business may be, I encourage you to start now. We all would like to be ready, have all our loose ends tied up, before we leave this earthly place we call home.
11 Now finish the work, so that your eager willingness to do it may be matched by your completion of it, according to your means.
