We just finished the unit on Police and Fire in Miss Marilyn’s room.
We ended the unit with one of our very own student’s dad (who is a real life fireman) coming in and talking to the class about how firemen are our friends and fire safety.
We learned to keep our bedroom doors closed at night to keep us safe from fire smoke, we learned to have a family meeting place outside to all go to, and we learned to stop, drop, and roll if our clothes are on fire.
Do you ever feel like you are at a place in your life where you feel like you are figuratively speaking “on fire”? The flames are engulfing you and the smoke has it hard to breathe?
My advice to you would be what we learned from Captain Frazier, just STOP!
DROP. to your knees
and ROLL. Into the arms of Jesus.
You know, no matter how many times you practice it, stop, drop, and roll will do nothing to put out the eternal fires of hell.
Just like we teach the boys and girls in Miss Marilyn’s class, let’s all make good choices. The choice is ours. Let’s choose life. Abundant life. Eternity spent in heaven with Jesus over a furnace of fire.
You are just a prayer away from salvation if you aren’t already there. Let me know if I can help.
Just stop, drop, and roll!
And shall cast them into the furnace of fire: there shall be wailing and gnashing of teeth.
Love and laughter,
