Credit Card Fraud

Good morning!

I received an email from my bank yesterday that my debit card had been
deactivated due to fraudulent activity on my account. How could that be?! The card has never left my purse! It seems there are alot of talented thieves out there.

It also seems that within the same hour I was using it to purchase gas for my car in Tulsa, it was also being used in San Antonio, TX for a hotel room. I’ve been known to drive fast. But not that fast. Time traveler, I’m not. šŸ™‚

It looks as though I will be inconvenienced for a week or so by being without a debit card until I receive my new pretty pink one in the mail. But that is as far as the inconvenience goes. Only the one transaction went through on my card before it was deactivated, and the bank assured me that money would be returned to my account within a few days.

I’m thankful for my bank catching that so quickly!Ā  I’m thankful it was just the one transaction. I’m thankful it didn’t send me into overdraft mode as my account does not have a large balance to cover such unauthorized activity from others. šŸ˜¦

Something that could have been financially devastating for me turned out to be just a minor bump in the road.

How about you?

Do you see those moments in your life, those bumps in the road, as negative and devastating, or do you take a moment and thank God that they were just that, minor bumps in the road?

Let’s all thank Him for being right there beside us. Thank Him for creating us with the desire to live knowing right from wrong. Not living in the dark as those that choose to steal, deal falsely and lie to get by. Those that make poor choices in fraudulent attempts to use our credit cards as their way of living instead of making an honest living as most do.

It seems I have had my share of stressors the last several days. It may momentarily get me down for a bit, but I refuse to let Satan win. I shall remain steadfast in my beliefs that God is still in control. He is the final victor. My bank account may be fraudulently tampered with and my money may be stolen, but no one and nothing will steal my joy! Bring it on Satan! This girl is gonna keep her joy. Her smile. Her love and laughter. And keep on telling others out there who is the source she gets it all ftom. šŸ™‚

You shall not steal, nor deal falsely, nor lie to one another.
Leviticus 19:11

Love and laughter,
