Fair Weather Friends

Good morning!

Here’s the 3 day extended weather  forecast for this weekend. It began yesterday with beautiful weather! You couldn’t ask for better! Especially in February!

Today should be just as gorgeous. 🙂
I have plans which include some outdoor activities with friends and family. I so enjoy being outdoors when the weather is fair!

How about you?

Speaking of fair weather, have you ever had a fair weather friend? One who is friendly, helpful, or available only when it is to their advantage or convenient for them?  These type of friends are more of an acquaintance than a true friend.

Let’s all look closely at our friendships. Are they true friendships or merely acquaintances?

A true friend loves at all times.

Let’s love one another as God commands us. Let’s not befriend others merely for our benefit, but rather for theirs. Let’s look for ways to serve them. In good times and in bad.

I challenge you to outdo one another in showing love and kindness. That’s God’s plan, for us to love God first, then one another. You can’t outlove God. I can assure you that the more you love and the more you give, the more it will come back to you. Luke 6:38 tells us, “Give, and it will be given to you. A good measure, pressed down, shaken together and running over, will be poured into your lap. For with the measure you use, it will be measured to you.”

Let’s leave the fair weather for these beautiful days offering us a case of spring fever, and keep our friendships loving and lasting. No fair weather friends for me! I want the real deal. A handful of true friends is worth thousands of acquaintances any day in my book.

And for the record,  I would be honored to consider each of you my true friend.♡ Never forget it.

Love one another with brotherly affection. Out do one another in showing honor.
Romans 12:10

Love and laughter,

Sandy
