There is nothing worse than the sound of metal crunching at the impact of a car accident.
Unfortunately, I heard it all too recently. 😦 I made a left hand turn at an intersection and an oncoming car hit me. Smash! Bang! Crunch! Boom! It was an onomatopoeia scene out of a Batman episode.
Fortunately no one was hurt. Just my pride and the front end of my car. And cars can be fixed.
If you have ever been involved in an accident, you will know it leaves you with a sick feeling. I guess that’s why they call it an accident. No one would ever intentionally do it on purpose.
Speaking of accidents, did you know that it is no accident that God created you? As a matter of fact, it was quite purposeful on His behalf.
He has a purpose for each of us. To spread His love to others in each of our own unique ways. And those times that we may veer off our path and get into life’s little accidents, He is right there just like the policemen and firemen and EMSA as our refuge and our strength to help us when we are in trouble.
That’s pretty powerful if you ask me! He’s there for the good, the bad, and the ugly. Right there beside us now and forever. That beats any insurance policy I’ve ever had!
I encourage each of you to look to Jesus as your refuge and your strength. Give Him your life. Trust Him to be your co-pilot as you travel the path that lies before you. And just be careful along the way, there’s occasionally a few bumps out there.
