May The Force Be With You

Good morning!

Yesterday, December 18th, was the official release date for Star Wars:
The Force Awakens.
Episode 7.

Everywhere you look it’s Star Wars. From toys for the kids to dairy creamers to mac and cheese.

Tickets are selling like it’s the Super Bowl!  Even James Bond himself couldn’t stay away. He made a cameo visit (Daniel Craig). 🙂

Thirty years after the defeat of the Galactic Empire, the galaxy faces a new threat. That’s all I’m gonna tell you. You’ll just have to go see for yourself what that threat just might be.

As I gazed at the poster advertising the movie in the theater, I was intrigued by the light saber with the cross guard.

Look like any familiar symbol to anyone else but me? 🙂

And this movie was released just in time for Christmas.

All the science fiction hoopla and marketing are fine and good for entertainment,  but I’m going to put my trust in the one who created the light saber. Who created this universe we live in. Who was released around this same time many, many years ago. Who also came to save the world. But in reality not on the theater screen.

How about you?

Jesus Christ is my Jedi Knight. He always will be. He is the force I always want to be with me. His cross is the one I will follow. He will help me battle the evil forces of this world.

Now go join the droves of others in the theaters watching Han Solo, Luke Skywalker, General Leia Organa, Chewbacca,  Obi-Wan, R2-D2, and a host of new characters.

May the force be with you!  🙂

Put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to stand against the schemes of the devil. For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the cosmic powers over this present darkness, against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly places.
Ephesians 6:11-12

Love and laughter,
