Only five more days of school ’til next year! It’s almost Christmas break! Woo hoo!
It’s quite a switch from over a decade in the health care field and prior to that equal time in the travel industry. Planes and hospitals operate 24/7 365 days of the year. I don’t remember not working holidays.
I couldn’t do it. I couldn’t just enjoy the holidays off.
Me and Santa. 🙂
If he can do it, so can I! So I’m going to fill in and work Christmas night for one of those poor hospital souls that otherwise would not have it off with their family. (Ok, maybe the holiday pay has a little to do with it.) Hopefully it will be enough of a kind gesture to move me from the naughty to nice list this year. 😉
How many of you have vacation time over the holidays this year? What do you do with your time? Do you drive? Do you fly? To grandma’s house? The beach? The football games? Or does your family come home to you?
We all have our own stories. 🙂
I’d love to hear yours. ♡ God knows you’ve had to listen to mine for almost a year now!
This time of year is hectic. We are all caught up in the hustle and bustle of holiday decorating and shopping and parties and traveling. In the midst of all the holiday cheer, take a break. A moment to rest.
Rest your head on your pillow as sugar plums dance in your heads, and rest your soul in Jesus. Take a solitary walk in nature. Feel His presence. Talk to Him. Intimately. Pray quietly as you drive to work. Visit a church. Whatever works best for you.
However you may choose, make your Christmas break memorable and restful.
Come to Me, all who are weary and heavy-laden, and I will give you rest. “Take My yoke upon you and learn from Me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and YOU WILL FIND REST FOR YOUR SOULS. “For My yoke is easy and My burden is light.”
Love and laughter,
