It’s that time of year again. The Tulsa State Fair is here for 11 days.
That means it’s time for fair food!
Once a year I am all about fair food! ♡ Corn dogs and caramel apples and chocolate covered cheesecake on a stick are my go to foods. Where else can you literally get anything imaginable to eat on a stick? 🙂
As a child a trip to the fair always meant ride passes. I loved the rides. The faster, the scarier, the better. Now I’m partial to the animals. The Clydesdales. The petting zoo. The birthing pigs.
And the new cars. And there is always a free concert from my era to sit and enjoy for free. And people watching. And I love walking around outside when the evening temperatures turn cool and brisk.
How about you? What’s your favorite thing at the fair?
A fair is defined as a gathering of stalls and amusements for public entertainment.
To be fair is an accordance with the rules or standards; legitimate.
God’s word doesn’t necessarily speak of a fair for entertainment, but we know it mentions in several scriptures our God being a fair God. He is always the same. He is righteous. He is good. He wants nothing more than for us to follow Him. To be fair to our fellow man and God.
Let’s all be fair. Let’s treat everyone equally. Let’s live out our lives making good sound fair decisions.
And why not while you’re at it, hit the Tulsa State Fair one time between October 1st and 11th for some good ol’ fair food? Yum! 🙂
“I will tell you who can live here: All who are honest and fair, who reject making profit by fraud, who hold back their hands from taking bribes, who refuse to listen to those who plot murder, who shut their eyes to all enticement to do wrong.”
Love and laughter,
